...somebody wanna point me towards some helpful info for 'enhancing' the output of my 454....I'm thinking 500 ponies should put me in the neighborhood I wanna be in...hopefully just a cam, intake, carb and some tuning.. (I'm just as fine with dropping a blower on top, if I can keep most it under the hood....)

I'm still working my way thru some cosmetic and minor issues like WW-washers and the alarm system and clock inop, but wanna start looking at drivetrain as well...

Reliability and drive-ability are more important to me than raw/peak horsepower, so whatever I build has to start with those first two qualities...I wanna be able to get in my 'vette and GO, anywhere, anytime....
